I’ve sought out some feedback in regards to the 2011 course. By and large people loved it and the hard work that went into putting it all together created a bounty for all to enjoy. I’d like to invite any comments or suggestions that you have in regards to building the 2012 course. What did you like/not like and what do you want to see? Take a second to let us know.

It is still just 2011 for another 13 hours or so but preparations for Rhythm n Bruise 2012 are in full swing and it’s time for a quick update. Your calendars need 2 decorative squares in the fourth month 2012. Last season’s May dates made for some exceptional weather. This year we’re going to hope for the same while bumping our dates forward a week. That means one less week to wait for your favorite snowboard event of the year. The official dates for RnB 2012 are APRIL 28th and 29th, 2012. The format will be similar with a wide-open practice the first day (Saturday April 28th) and a slightly more organized (and judged!) event on Sunday the 29th. I expect most of last years competitors and a whole bunch of folks who missed out in 2011 as well. Should be fun, see you there.

Rhythm N Bruise 2011 went off in rare style. Sunny skies and soft snow set the stage for one of the most memorable weekends in Northwest snowboarding history. A solid turnout of devastatingly good riders put on a clinic on h0w to destroy a rhythm section; something that, to my knowledge, had never been done before in an organized event. Those who attended will be talking about this event for some time. For those who couldn’t make it, DO NOT miss this thing next year. A new staple has been introduced to the annual Northwest snowboard event circle.

these trophies were awarded for 1st thru 3rd place in each category. Thanks Matt and Temple for making these happen!!

a view of the first section and first berm from the start

: a couple day’s progressthe weather catches it’s breath and we sneak this shot outa view from the start mound.

The crew has worked tirelessly through less than optimal weather to create this variable snowler coaster. Despite the typical Cascade spring and it’s wet and windy onslaught, mother nature did give us these glimpses of what we’d created as well as a forecast that looks excellent for the event weekend. Work continues…. more photos coming.
